The protagonist for my graphic novel. This was done digitally, and I’m currently working on redrawing him and updating his design in the sketch book I bought for this class. He worships the moon, and I’m working on better incorporating that into his design and would love suggestions on how to do so.

Usually if you worship something various representative icons or motifs show up in your outfit. There is a full moon shape in his dagger. Could it be accentuated more or the buckle on his belt or the pendant. Depending on what he does, moon glow could emanate from behind or around him (or his dagger or belt buckle, etc) – kinda like he brings his illuminated moon-ness with him since he worships it. You could riffle through some art history references to moon goddesses headgear, sceptres, thrones.

Depending on where he comes from perhaps he could have a crecent moon shaped dagger. It will have Arabic connotations so if you don’t want to go there don’t!
